By the 8th century, under the Pala dynasty, it was home to rich networks of agrarian production and religious activity. Polities and religious institutions within and around Bengal have greatly influenced the development of various cultures in the Indian subcontinent as well as in Southeast Asia.Ī flat and densely-forested land, Bengal began to urbanise in the early centuries of the common era, though it had been home to minor polities such as its namesake, Vanga, from well before this time.

With its core in the Ganga-Brahmaputra delta, the immensely fertile region of Bengal has historically been one of the major power-centres in the Indian subcontinent.

Started as the Kamarupa Kingdom, then briefly vassalized by Pala, again gained independence and changed to Ahom Kingdom which lasted for a millenium years. This place has a long independent history of being ruled by it’s local rulers only. For now the civs simply replace some of the ingame civs but we will try to expand the civ roster without removing anything if we get the opportunity.Īsomiya covers the Assam and Kachar region encompassing the Assamese people, Ahom people and Naga people. Now i realized there are a whole bunch of people in AGE community who wants india to be split. At first we were 2 but now there are many who are contributing to the project. Yet we decided to make an expansion type mod on India as we could not wait. Maybe the devs have already realized it and working on an expansion. Indian subcontinent is huge and diverse in culture. If modding DW can be done the same way as one would in Kingdom Hearts 3, I can only imagine the creativity and improvements the community will do themselves for 9E.So, we all know that only one civ in AOE 2 cannot represent all the medieval indian cultures, ethnicity, civs. He does have one for 8 and 8E.Īs for actually adding/modifying game mechanics and customized models/weapons, I don't think anyone has done that yet. There's no save editor for 9 and 9E yet, though. He actually made save editors for quite a lot of Musou games and to anyone interested, his website is still up. Just like what saffron40 said, the closest thing to modding DW has is Van's "Save Editor" which allows you to alter multiple values of several assets in the game. To put things simply: extracting the files has been done and tools are readily available for this actually modifying what's in it and repacking the files for the game to be able to read again? No can do at the moment because their file type is complicated. As someone who tried to have a go modding DW8E, the hard bit comes from understanding the game files.
